The 5 D's



THE FIVE D’S

1. Drink Water ~ It helps to flush out the system, AND it keeps you feeling full so you don't eat constantly.

2. Do Something ~ Go for a walk, take a shower, do some housework/yardwork, etc.

3. Distract yourself ~ Cravings only last for an average of 3-7 minutes and WILL go away. Distract yourself with games, computer, or the things in #2.

4. Deep Breath ~ Think about it, we used to do this as a smoker every time we puffed on a sickorette, now try it with FRESH AIR. It is also a very good stress reliever. (Slow deep breaths, in through the nose out through the mouth)

5. Discuss~ Either call a supporter or come online for support. There is always someone here to help; and someone here once said something along the lines of "post for help first and wait for at least 3 responses and then see how you feel"
